For the month of December, more than 680 thousand families received energy compensations. 56 thousand households, out of more than 736 thousand that have enrolled in the program “Help with the meter”, are not eligible for compensation, IPN reports.
“The average compensation for December is 727 lei. For all beneficiaries, we ensure that the post-compensation tariff is not higher compared to last year”, Labor and Social Protection Minister Alexei Buzu notes.
The compensation budget for December is 495 million lei.
The minister noted that eligible households will also receive compensation for electricity in January-March. The government will compensate tariff increases for a monthly consumption of 110 kWh.
At the same time, starting from January, the state will also cover tariff increases for centralized heating.
