The electronic Health Record will be implemented for 80% of citizens by the end of 2030. The provision is contained in the national program for digitalization and innovation in health 2025-2030, approved today by the government. The reform aims to modernize the medical system through digital solutions, which will improve patients ‘ access to services and reduce bureaucracy, IPN reports.
“The goal of the program is to create a secure, interoperable and citizen-centered digital ecosystem. This represents a system reform aimed at improving access, quality and continuity of medical care,” health minister Ala Nemerenco said at the Government Meeting.
The program also envisions the development of telemedicine and modern digital tools for healthcare professionals that will simplify workflows and eliminate unnecessary documents. This will enable doctors to devote more time to patient care, with quick access to essential clinical information and intuitive applications for remote consultation and monitoring.
Patients will have digital access to their own medical history, have the possibility to make appointments online, receive electronic prescriptions and communicate directly with health care providers.
The document also includes measures to expand access to medical services in rural areas, increase the level of digital literacy among the population, as well as strengthen the security of personal data.
Funding will be provided from the budgetary allocations of the institutions involved and from other legal sources, and the implementation of the program will be monitored annually by the Ministry of Health, according to the government decision.
