On Monday, the reception of documents for the registration of candidates for the position of Governor of Gagauzia begins, within the framework of the elections on November 15. Candidates and initiative groups will be able to submit documents until October 6, at the Central Electoral Council of Gagauzia, reports IPN.
The documents will be received at the CEC headquarters of Gagauzia in the city of Comrat, Tretiacov Street, 36, in the City Hall building, on the first floor. From September 21 to October 5, the documents can be submitted from Monday to Friday, between 10:00 and 04:00 PM, with a break from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM.
On October 6th, the last day for submitting documents, the program will be between 09:00 AM and 05:00 PM, with a break from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM. Independent candidates will be able to request the subscription lists necessary for supporting their candidacy. The initiative groups and electoral competitors will submit the necessary documents for registration.
The Central Election Commission of Gagauzia has also established a committee that will organize a draw to determine the order of document reception. If two or more applicants submit their documents on the same day, the draw will take place at 05:00 PM and will determine the order of the electoral competitors’ registration on the ballot.
