Six persons perished in a serious road accident that occurred near Popeasca village of Ștefan Vodă district in the morning of November 27. A truck driver tried to overtake a tractor without making sure it was safe and crashed the vehicle frontally into a car, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, the accident was reported at about 7am. The truck driver aged 39 didn’t suffer injuries.
The dead persons – the driver and five passengers – were in the struck car. The vehicle is registered in Romania. The police said there are no minors among the dead who were aged between 28 and 34.
Specialized services are offering assistance to the relatives. An investigation is under way.
