The number of electors on the State Register of Voters stands at 3,296,783, the Central Electoral Commission announced, being quoted by IPN.
Of these, 2,735,721 citizens with the right to vote are assigned to administrative-territorial units of the second level.
According to the Commission, the difference includes the people who have Moldovan citizenship, but do not have registration at home or residence, counting those who have emigrated abroad (292,426 people), but also the citizens with the right to vote with the domicile registered in the administrative-territorial units on the left bank of the Nistru, which are provisionally outside the sovereign control of the constitutional authorities of the Republic of Moldova (268,636 people).
