Five schools in the Model Schools Network have received a donation of smart boards from a private company. The total investment amounts to 1 million lei. The school managers said that the new digital equipment will have a positive impact on the educational process, providing students with the necessary skills to succeed in future careers, IPN reports.
The interactive smart interactive whiteboard systems were offered to «Stefan Voda» Theoretical High School in Stefan Voda city, «Alexei Mateevici» Theoretical High School in Soldanesti, «Mihai Eminescu» Gymnasium in Telenesti, «Vasile Coroban» Theoretical High School in Glodeni, «Ion Pelivan» Theoretical High School in Razeni village, Ialoveni district.
The headmistress of the «Stefan Voda» Theoretical Lyceum in Stefan Voda, Elena Cornitel, said that the equipment is an important step towards modern education. «We are honored to be part of the Model Schools Network and to benefit from this generous donation», said Elena Cornitel.
The headmistress of «Vasile Coroban» Theoretical High School in Glodeni, Liliana Leuca, said that this donation will completely transform the way of teaching. «The smart boards will allow us to involve students in interactive activities, develop their creativity and give them access to digital resources that, until now, we only dreamed ofˮ, the manager of the institution pointed out.
Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships for the development of education in Moldova. «If everyone will get involved in the process of transforming education, it will take place faster and, at the same time, meet the expectations of society as a whole,» the minister said.
«We actively support the efforts of the authorities in promoting digital education and developing the digital skills of young people. We are pleased to contribute to the modernization of education in the Republic of Moldova by providing our state-of-the-art technologies and supporting future generationsˮ, said the CEO of the donor company, Guo Min.
The Model Schools Network is a project launched this year by the Ministry of Education. The 35 schools included in the network will become models of best practice in education, benefiting from investment in infrastructure and innovative teaching methodologies, the ministry says.
