A consignment of 30,420 COVID-19 vaccine doses produced by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer/BioNTech were delivered to Chisinau, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
The vaccine doses were stored at the National Public Health Agency and will be distributed proportionally to all the national vaccination units. The vaccines form part of the batch of 700,830 doses purchased by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection through the External Assistance Programs Management Office.
On July 23, Moldova received 100,620 Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine doses provided free by the Government of Romania. Over 1 million vaccine doses have been administered in Moldova so far, with about 470,000 persons being fully immunized.
