Citizens and the business environment of the Republic of Moldova will be able to benefit from notarial services in digital format. The government has approved the concept of the e-Notary information system, which envisages the digitization of several processes in the activity of notaries, reports IPN.
The new platform will allow authentication, signing and online processing of notarial acts, through the use of qualified electronic signatures, modern security technologies and direct connections with state registries. The system will be integrated into the MCloud governmental infrastructure.
The Ministry of Justice specifies that e-Notary will streamline the work of notaries, who will no longer need to collect paper-based documents, as these will be obtained directly from the state’s databases. At the same time, citizens will have faster and safer access to notarial services, without wasting time at counters or incurring additional travel costs.
The authorities also mention that an advantage of the service is its accessibility for Moldovans abroad, who will be able to sign and authenticate documents online. Moreover, the digitization of services will facilitate the activity of economic agents and attract investments, by reducing bureaucratic barriers and the possibility of online scheduling.
