The Central Electoral Commission has introduced a new role in the administrative structure – the Secretary General of the CEC, who will have the task of coordinating the activity of the institution’s apparatus. The decision was approved during today’s meeting of the Commission, reports IPN.
Contacted by IPN, the head of the Communication, Public Relations and Mass Media Department at the CEC, Rodica Sirbu, clarified that the position of secretary of the CEC is still maintained, but the secretary general is not a member of the Commission.
The position has administrative and internal management duties, being responsible for the organization and efficient operation of the CEC apparatus.
