The National Bank of Moldova has launched a new digital service that indicates, in electronic format, the official exchange rate of the Moldovan leu. The tool allows individuals and legal entities quick access to official data, set by the BNM in relation to foreign currencies, without the need to submit written requests, reports IPN.
The service operates through a fully automated flow and generates, in real time, authentic information about the exchange rate. Users can select the calculation methodology, the period and the currencies of interest, including the daily, monthly average or annual rate.
Governor Anca Dragu stated that the digitalization of financial services is a priority for BNM. “We are investing in solutions that can be fully accessed online, from a phone or computer, and we are keeping pace with technological progress, taking care of people’s time, safety, and comfort,” emphasized Anca Dragu.
The information is available in Romanian and English, it is electronically signed and includes a QR code for validity verification. The document can be used, as appropriate, in financial reporting, currency transactions or other procedures that require confirmation of the official rate.
