The Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Natalia Plugaru, states that the Vartic family’s daughters are constantly monitored by authorities, including the school psychologist and social assistance, and the responsible institutions are continually observing their situation. According to her, at this moment, keeping the girls in the care of their father is considered the most suitable solution in the best interest of the children, reports IPN.

Natalia Plugaru stated that the girls are constantly monitored, and their psychological evaluation was sent to the General Prosecutor’s Office. “The Vartic family girls are monitored several times a week by the school psychologist, who has separate sessions with each, as well as by the social worker, who makes home visits. The girls are safe, and we constantly monitor the state of affairs”, the minister declared during the “Rezoomat” show on RealitateaTV.

According to her, the decision for the girls to remain in their father’s custody was made considering their best interest. “I know there are questions referring to the fact that they are still with their father, but at the moment, for the girls’ best interest, this has been identified as the best solution”, explained Natalia Plugaru.

The Minister also said that the authorities are prepared to intervene quickly if Dumitru Vartic is detained. According to her, in such situations, the possibility of minors being taken over by close relatives is analyzed, the priority being to keep the children within the extended family and avoid placement in specialized centers.

The General Prosecutor’s Office announced that Ludmila Vartic’s husband has been officially charged with two criminal episodes, namely domestic violence resulting in attempted suicide and domestic violence resulting in suicide. Previously, Dumitru Vartic denied the accusations.
