27 candidates to contend for mayoralty of Chisinau

The Chisinau District Electoral Council completed the procedure for examining the files submitted by the aspirants for the post of mayor general of the municipality of Chisinau, registering a total of 27 candidates.

Contacted by IPN for details, the Council’s head Viorica Gadîmba said that they received 30 files. The file of Mihail Bagas was withdrawn by the Party “League of Towns and Communes”, while Andrei Donică of the Professionals’ Movement “Speranța-Nadejda” wasn’t admitted to the electoral race because he was registered as a candidate for mayor of Condrița village. Tatiana Gorea, who intended to run as an independent, also wasn’t registered as not all the signatures presented by her were validated.

The preliminary order of candidates on the ballot is to be adjusted::

1.Vasile Costiuc of the Party “Democracy at Home”;
2. Ruslan Codreanu of the Electoral Bloc “Ruslan Codreanu”;
3. Constantin Butucel of the Party “We Build Europe at Home”;
4. Ion Ștefăniță of the “Respect Moldova” Movement;
5. Diana Caraman of the Party of Communists;
6. Lilian Carp of the Party of Action and Solidarity;
7. Anatol Usatyi of the Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova;
8. Vadim Brînzaniuc of the European Social Democrat Party;
9. Ion Bulgac of the Coalition for Unity and Wellbeing;
10. Adrian Albu of the Party of Socialists;
11. Mihail Poleanschi of the Civic Congress;
12. Victor Chironda of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”;
13. Oleg Burlacu of the Liberal Democratic Party;
14. Vasile Bolea of the Revival Party;
15. Roman Mihăeș of the National Liberal Party;
16. Ion Ceban of the National Alternative Movement;
17. Dragoș Galbur of the National Moldovan Party;
18. Alla Popova of Moldova’s Patriots Party;
19. Anatolie Prohnitski of the Ecologist Green Party.
20. Cristina Vulpe of the Chance Party
21. Ion Purice of the Liberal Party.
22. Ruslan Popa of the Party “New Historical Option”
23. Ștefan Urîtu of the People’s Will Party
24. Andrei Munteanu of the Political Party “NOI”
25. Arina Spătaru of the Party “Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe”
26. Ștefan Gligor of the Party of Change
27. Tatiana Platon of the Party “Alternative and Moldova Salvation Force”.

In the November 5 general local elections, Moldovan voters are to elect 898 mayors and 11,058 local councilors.
