A Chisinau woman, 57, was killed in a traffic accident this afternoon on Muncești Street. It was preliminarily established that the woman was crossing the street legally, on the pedestrian crossing, when she was hit by a truck.
The General Police Inspectorate reported that the driver who hit her is a 49-year-old man. No other details have been disclosed.
The woman died immediately.
A criminal case has been opened to establish all the circumstances.
