A Church Museum is to be founded in the municipality of Chisinau. A draft decision of the Chisinau Municipal Council says that the initiative is necessary in order to preserve and valorize archaeological vestiges discovered as a result of archaeological excavations, IPN reports.
“The creation of the Museum will have an indispensable significance for the recovery of urban memory and will also be an educational and cultural center that will also represent a platform for civic and intercultural dialogue and a tourist attraction included in municipal, national and international tourist routes,” said the General Division of Culture and Cultural Heritage of the CMC, which drafted the decision.
According to the draft decision, the Church Museum will be a branch of the Chisinau City History Museum.
