Fuel continues to get cheaper. The National Agency for Energy Regulation announces a new decrease in prices for the beginning of this week. On Tuesday, August 19, drivers will pay 22.96 lei for a liter of gasoline, and 19.42 for diesel, reports IPN.
Gasoline is getting cheaper by 7 cents per liter, and diesel will cost 12 cents less than in previous days.
According to ANRE, the main factors driving the decrease in prices are the reduction in Platts quotations, the appreciation of the leu against the dollar, and the easing of tensions in international markets.
The institution mentions that it will continue to monitor the evolution of the international oil market and assures that the current price-setting mechanism remains transparent and fair for consumers.
