The Romanian Cabinet of Ministers approved an investment of over €5 billion for the Târgu-Neamț – Iași – Ungheni highway. The Prime Minister of Romania Marcel Ciolacu said that over 88 kilometers of highway will be built in three years, IPN reports.
“It is an investment of over €5 billion, financed mainly from European funds for the 2021-2027 financial exercise,” said Marcel Ciolacu.
According to the decision, the indicators related to the investment objective were also approved. The normative document sets out the technical-economic conditions and provides the necessary funds for the start of the highway construction works.
The Târgu-Neamț – Iași – Ungheni highway is part of the A8 – “Union” motorway.
