The Government of the Republic of Moldova and that of Greece have signed a Memorandum to stimulate economic growth and accelerate reforms within the framework of the EU Growth Plan for Moldova. The agreement will allow our country to receive Greece’s expertise in the preparation and management of strategic projects, specifies the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, quoted by IPN.
The Memorandum establishes the basis for practical cooperation, focused on strengthening the institutional and administrative capacity of the Republic of Moldova, for the implementation of the EU Growth Plan. Additionally, the document provides for the utilization of Greece’s expertise in the design, preparation, and management of projects through the GrowthFund – Project Preparation Facility.
Deputy Prime Minister Doina Nistor, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, emphasized that this agreement marks a new stage in the relations between the Republic of Moldova and Greece, and an economic support in the implementation of the EU Growth Plan.
“Benefiting from Greece’s expertise in preparing and implementing major investment projects, Moldova will be able to accelerate reforms, attract more European funds, and bring tangible benefits to citizens and the business environment,” emphasized Minister Nistor.
The memorandum is valid for an initial period of two years, with automatic extension, and will guide bilateral cooperation in key sectors for the economic modernization of the Republic of Moldova.
