The body of a 50-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds was found near the railway in Putinești village of Florești district, IPN reports, with reference to the General Police Inspectorate.
The woman was from Soroca district, but lived in Putinești. Locals knew her as a woman who abused alcohol and led a disorderly lifestyle. The police identified a suspect – a local aged 51 who was earlier tried for different offenses.
The man related that the woman drank alcoholic beverages together with him and they ultimately got into conflict. She insulted him and he got angry and hit her. When he saw that the woman wasn’t breathing, he tried to hide the body in a garden near his house.
The murderer faces 10 to 15 years behind bars.
