The Superior Council of Magistracy has a new member. The new member is Livia Mitrofan, interim president of the Chisinau Court, IPN reports.
The magistrate takes this position as an alternate member elected by the General Assembly of Judges. She replaces Judge Vasile Schiopu, who resigned.
Livia Mitrofan has been a judge since 2017 and has held important positions in the system, including at the Supreme Court of Justice and the Ministry of Justice.
Her term on the SCM will run from February 12, 2025 to May 2, 2029.
