More than 1 million packs of cigarettes that were confiscated following violations of the legislation in 2016-2022 were destroyed by incineration by the State Tax Service, IPN reports.
The tobacco products were incinerated at the cement factory “Lafarge Ciment (Moldova)” in the presence of the commission for the destruction of confiscated goods that included representatives of the State Tax Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The tobacco products, related products, devices and accessories for using these that were imported or sold in breach of the law on tobacco and tobacco articles are confiscated and destroyed.
