The revenues gathered in the national public budget last year came to 91.5 billion lei, an increase of 14.1 billion lei on a year before. The expenditure totaled 99.7 billion lei, up 17.7 billion lei on 2021. The national public budget was executed with a deficit of 8.2 billion lei, while the balance in the accounts of the budget’s components was 6.5 billion lei, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the state budget incomes in 2022 added up to 59.2 billion lei, an increase of 9.8 billion lei.
The revenues managed by the State Tax Service totaled 23.8 billion lei, an increase of 3.7 billion lei on 2021, while those managed by the Customs Service came to 33.9 billion lei, up 5.3 billion lei on a year before.
The state budget expenditure was 67.9 billion lei, up 13.8 billion lei on 2021. The state budget deficit was 8.7 billion lei, while the balance in the state budget’s accounts was 3.1 billion lei.
In 2022, the Ministry of Finance fulfilled all its financial commitments, ensuring all the payments were fully financed.
