Patients from districts, helped by rescuers after ambulances were blocked by ice

For some patients in the country’s districts, medical aid was provided with the help of rescuers, after ambulances encountered difficulties in moving due to the ice on the roads. In the last 24 hours, the intervention teams acted in 18 cases, to facilitate doctors’ access to the sick, reports IPN.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, most interventions were carried out in the Telenesti, Orhei, Causeni, Rezina, Anenii Noi, Criuleni and Nisporeni districts. All missions were successfully conducted, and people received the necessary medical care.

At the same time, the support of the firefighters was requested by several drivers, who, due to the ice, skidded off their routes. Most interventions for towing and unlocking vehicles took place in the city of Chisinau and in the districts of Causeni, Orhei, Criuleni, Hancesti, Ialoveni and Sangerei. In all cases, the drivers received help and were able to continue their journey.

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, trees have fallen on several routes, and IGSU employees intervened in the Soldanesti and Soroca districts, to clear the roadway and secure the affected areas. No casualties have been reported.

In the last 24 hours, firefighters and rescuers have carried out over 90 prevention and intervention missions to mitigate the consequences of risk situations.

Moving forward, the IGSU teams are mobilized non-stop throughout the country, and citizens are urged to call the 112 Service in case of danger.
