Prime Minister Dorin Recean welcomed Prince Radu of Romania at the Government Building. The two officials discussed local, regional and international issues. Special attention was devoted to the steps taken by the Republic of Moldova in the process of meeting the European standards, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
“We are grateful that, by what you do, you put Moldova on the map of the world, promote with such generosity our desideratum to join the EU in the big European capitals and manage to mobilize the Romanian business community to invest in our country. It is important to step up the partnership with Romania,” said Dorin Recean.
“Together with her Majesty Margareta, we fulfill the duty we have towards the Crown, towards the ancestors and our common future. We set the goal of touring European countries in which our voice can mean something so that by our presence we make them better realize why it is important for the Republic of Moldova to become an EU member state. We aim to do things to support the Moldovan-Romanian cooperation in such fields as education, economy and at the level of civil society both in Bucharest and in Chisinau,” noted Prince Radu.
In 2015, Prince Radu of Romania was awarded the honorific title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova in appreciation and gratitude for the promotion of authentic moral and cultural values and for the strengthening of Moldovan-Romanian cooperation relations.
