The Cathedral of the Nation’s Salvation in Bucharest – the largest Orthodox church in the world – reopens on Wednesday for visitors during the winter holidays. The place of worship will be open until January 8, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, then it will be closed again for the continuation of work on the interior installations, reports IPN.
The Romanian Patriarchy has announced that during the holidays, there will be no liturgical services held at the National Cathedral, it being open only for visiting and worship by all pilgrims from the country or abroad.
According to the Patriarchate, the services will be held at the historic Patriarchal Cathedral of the Holy Emperors Constantine and Helena, on the Patriarchate’s Hill, and at the Chapel of the People’s Salvation Cathedral.
