The Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (AMDM) authorized, in December, 34 medicines. Out of these, 14 medicines are authorized for the first time, while 20 have received repeated authorization, reports IPN.
According to AMDM, among the new drugs is Trixeo Aerosphere, an inhaler intended for adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The treatment improves breathing and reduces acute episodes of the disease.
Another authorized medication is Opsumit, used in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension in children and adolescents. It contributes to reducing the pressure in the pulmonary arteries and alleviates the symptoms of the disease.
The new list also includes Duxobel, indicated for the treatment of depression, generalized anxiety and pain caused by diabetic neuropathy in adults.
