Two commemorative coins have been released into the numismatic circuit by the National Bank of Moldova: “Petre Teodorovici – 75 years since his birth” and “80 years since the establishment of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu” from the Republic of Moldova”, reports IPN.
The coin dedicated to Petre Teodorovici honors the creation of one of the most well-known composers and performers of light music. The coin is minted in silver, has a nominal value of 50 lei and a limited edition of 500 copies. The coin’s design is signed by Eugeniu Boico.
The second coin marks 80 years since the founding of the “Nicolae Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The coin, also made of silver, has a nominal value of 50 lei and a circulation of one thousand units. The coin’s design was conceived by Svetlana Minascurta.
The coins are packaged in transparent capsules and in presentation boxes and are accompanied by certificates of authenticity and can be purchased both from the BNM, based on online requests, and through licensed banks.
