At the end of her ministerial mandate, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru was appointed as a presidential advisor in justice. She will begin her duties on November 11, as indicated in Maia Sandu’s decree.
Veronica Mihailov-Moraru has experience in the field of law and justice, having worked in public institutions and non-governmental organizations, contributing to the development and implementation of policies aimed at strengthening the rule of law, combating corruption and protecting human rights.
From February 2023 up to the present, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru has been the Minister of Justice. She has been involved in reforming the judicial system, through initiatives aimed at increasing transparency, efficiency and integrity in justice.
According to the presidential institution, the appointment of Veronika Mihailov-Moraru reflects the importance that the Presidency places on the field of justice, both in internal dialogue and in the negotiation process for the Republic of Moldova’s accession to the European Union.
