The most active constituency is Rezina, where over 22% of voters have voted, while the lowest turnout is recorded in Briceni, with about 15%. In the municipality of Chisinau, up to this point, about 20% of voters have voted. The President of the Central Electoral Commission, Angelica Caraman, provided details about the voting dynamics at the national level and in the diaspora, during a press conference, reports IPN.
Angelica Caraman also mentioned that all polling stations in Europe and Asia are operational, and in the next few hours, the stations in the United States of America and Canada are set to open.
At the same time, queues were reported at polling stations in Brussels, Bucharest, Moscow, Venice and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges. By 12:00 PM, over 60,000 voters had turned up at the polls abroad. In the 12 polling stations set up for eligible voters from localities in the Transnistrian region, over 5,000 voters have voted.
The Bureau of Political Reintegration has reported that the situation in the Security Zone remains calm, stable, and without essential changes. The flow of people and transportation through the internal customs posts is carried out consistently, and the situation on the ground is efficiently monitored and managed by the competent authorities.
According to operational information, since the beginning of the day, 31 cases of violations or incidents related to the electoral process have been recorded. The most frequent were cases of photographing the ballot – 16 in number, followed by electoral agitation on the day of the vote (2 cases), reasonable suspicion of voter corruption (1 case), unauthorized electoral display (1 case), organized transportation of voters (1 case) etc.
The Central Electoral Commission reminds that voters who cannot travel to the polling station can request the mobile ballot box until 2:00 PM, through an application submitted at the electoral office of the polling station, accompanied by a medical certificate.
