Three persons who got a vaccine against COVID-19 died, Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco announced in a news conference. She said she does not rule out the possibility that these persons had fake vaccine certificates, IPN reports.
According to the minister, a person got infected when antibodies following vaccination hadn’t been yet produced. The other two persons had an older age and suffered from comorbidies. Analyses have been carried out and the subject is being discussed.
“Vaccination does not fully protect against infection. A lot depends on the body and on the comorbidies of the person, especially when the infection is contracted shortly after vaccination,” stated Ala Nemerenco.
However, she noted, there should be also considered the eradication of multiple diseases in time as another aspect of immunization. The vaccination of doctors, among whom the death rate declined considerably, is a relevant example.
According to the Ministry of Health, 710 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Moldova on September 3. Of these, 612 cases are among unvaccinated persons. About 702,000 persons have got both of the vaccine doses in Moldova so far.
