The European Council has approved the fifth financial aid package for Ukraine, amounting to over 1.8 billion euros, under the “EU Facility for Ukraine”. The funding primarily aims to strengthen Ukraine’s macro-financial stability and support the continuous operation of the public administration, reports IPN.
The European Forum has announced that payments within the “Facility for Ukraine” are linked to another support project – the “Plan for Ukraine”, which presents Kiev’s strategy for recovery, reconstruction, and modernization of the country, as well as with a timetable for the implementation of reforms aligned with the EU accession objectives.
“The Facility for Ukraine” came into effect in March 2024 and provides funding of up to 50 billion euros, in the form of grants and loans until 2027.
