Academician Mihai Cimpoi celebrates his 79th birthday on September 3. On this occasion, the Chisinau City Hall addressed a congratulatory message to him, IPN reports.
“Respectable man of culture, reputable literary critic and historian who during two decades headed the Writers Union of Moldova, a member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova in 1999-2001, Emeritus Man of the Republic of Moldova, internationally renowned Eminescologist, president of the World Congress of Eminescologists, a Citizen of Honor of the municipality of Chisinau, a Knight of the National Order “Star of Romania”, the class of Commander, today, September 3, 2021, celebrates his 79th birthday. On this occasion, the Chisinau City Hall wishes the master strong health, success and new literary accomplishments,” says the congratulatory messages posted on the City Hall’s website.
Mihai Cimpoi was born in Larga village of Hotin County on September 3, 1942.
