Dental specialists of Moldova and China will exchange experience. “Nicolae Testemiţanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy and West China School of Stomatology of Sichuan University signed a five-year agreement of cooperation for the academic mobility of students and teaching staff, IPN reports.
“Nicolae Testemiţanu” University rector Emil Ceban said that the People’s Republic of China is known globally for its modern and advanced technologies, including in traditional Chinese medicine. “We are ready to learn from your knowledge and experience concerning modern treatment methods in the field of stomatology. This will inevitably lead to the improvement of high-quality treatment services provided to the population of the Republic of Moldova,” stated the rector, referring to the West China School of Stomatology.
China’s Ambassador to Moldova Yan Wenbin said the educational institutions of the two countries enjoy advantages in the field of medical training and research. “The signed agreement will contribute to the improvement of the interuniversity exchange, mutual exchange of experience and promotion of global development and will also help to continuously extend the cooperation between the two countries in the field of medical assistance,” noted Yan Wenbin.
According to Wang Jinsong, rector of Sichuan Univesity, the pandemic showed that the strengthening of international cooperation in the field of medicine is very important. The signing of this agreement will enable the sides to cooperate in training staff, preparing scientific works so that they together grow skilled specialists.
Valentin Mustea, head of the Medical Personnel Management Policies of the Ministry of Health, said that the People’s Republic of China has always been a partner of Moldova and has consistently helped Moldova to modernize its medical institutions, to provide these with modern medical equipment. The agreement will facilitate the exchange of experience between students and teachers and this is a big opportunity for the future doctors to familiarize themselves with the most recent research and innovative technology in modern medicine and to take part in professional meetings and conferences.
