There is a real danger that the oligarchic regime that existed until 2019 will return in a new formula after the snap parliamentary elections, said the leader of the PPPDA Andrei Năstase. According to the politician, the excessive division of the right endangers the European course of the Republic of Moldova.
“The big danger comes from the possibility of a return of the oligarchic regime in a new formula. Those who earlier divided the spheres of influence now form alliances, blocs and no logger attack each other. When evil units, we must be even stronger and more determined. That’s why our message continues to be of unity and nonaggression between European and Romanian parties,” Andrei Năstase stated in the talk show “Emphasis on Today” on TVR Moldova channel.
Năstase added that his party would like to form an electoral bloc with the PAS, according to the model of the former bloc ACUM, and does not accept a bloc with parties that say they are unionist.
“We insisted on the continuation of the ACUM bloc and on the attraction of everything that is pro-European and Romanian to it. If we want to have European integration and a rapprochement between the two banks of the Prut, we must elect reasonably, pragmatically and thinking about the consciences of the waste of votes for parties that show the Union for them means ‘less unity’,” stated Andrei Năstase.
In the absence of a consensus between the PAS and PPPDA concerning the formation of an electoral bloc, Năstase said he expects upright people, professionals, including from other parties, to join their electoral list that was submitted to the CEC, but can be yet modified.
The PPPDA submitted the required documents to the Central Election Commission on May 24. The CEC has seven days of the submission of the file to decide whether to register a candidate as an election contender or nor.
