The Shor Party was declared unconstitutional. The decision was pronounced by the Constitutional Court on Monday following the Government’s request to examine the constitutionality of this party, IPN reports.
The Court’s sitting started with the presentation of replies by the parties – the representatives of the Government and of the Shor Party. Members and sympathizers of the party mounted a protest in support of the Shor Party in front of the Constitutional Court.
According to the Government’s representatives, there are proofs that the party acted against the rule of law principles and endangered the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Moldova. The party’s representatives denied the accusations, saying this is pressure exerted by the senior administration.
