The Chisinau International Airport was the target of bomb scares on Saturday night and Sunday evening. It was reported that explosives had been placed also in an aircraft. The information was confirmed for IPN by the press officer of the Border Police Raisa Novitsky.
“In both cases, the presence of explosive devices in the Airport and in the aircraft was announced by phone. According to procedure, the airport staff and travelers were evacuated from the building. After the checks, it turned out that the bomb threats were false and the Airport resumed its work according to the ordinary program. As to the aircraft, the examinations continue and the schedule was disrupted.
