A taxi driver aged 45 was stabbed on the territory of the company where he works, in Ungheni town, in the morning of August 3. He died later in the hospital. According to the police, the man was stabbed because of a debt of 200 lei. The suspects, a man and a woman, were arrested.
The General Police Inspectorate said the police were called out by a workmate of the man, who found him bleeding, but still alive.
The police determined that the couple collected debts after riding in the cab for several times. Today the cabdriver insisted that the debt should be cleared. A conflict arose and the woman stabbed the taxi driver in the chest.
The woman aged 30 and her partner aged 40 take drugs and are under the supervision of a narcologist.
