Embassy of China: President of China met with U.S. President

The President of China Xi Jinping had a meeting with the President of the United States Joe Biden in Bali. Xi Jinping said that the two countries should take the history as a mirror and let it guide the future. The Chinese official noted that both China and the U.S. should contribute, together with other countries, to amplifying hope for world peace, confidence in global stability and the force of joint development, IPN reports.

“The current bilateral relations do not meet the basic interests of the two countries and the expectations of international community. Xi Jinping said that the epoch changes occur in an extraordinary way and humanity faces unprecedented challenges. China and the U.S. should make contributions, together with other countries, to amplifying hope for world peace.

The President of China expressed his wish to have profound and open exchanges of opinions on strategic problems of the bilateral relations and major world and regional problems with Joe Biden. He also voiced hope that he and his American counterpart will act to stimulate the bilateral relations for these to return to the path of healthy and stable development so that they bring benefits to the two countries and the world.
