The Civic Congress made known its candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau. This is ex-MP of the Party of Communists Mihail Polyanski, IPN reports.
The Civic Congress said that Mihail Polyanski, 43, was born in Chisinau and is the leader of the party’s municipal organization. He is an anthropologist and a journalist by profession and sat as an MP in a number of legislatures.
Seven parties have presented their candidates for mayor general of the municipality of Chisinau so far. The Party of Action and Solidarity fielded MP Lilian Carp, PAS deputy chairman; the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” – ex-deputy mayor of Chisinau Victor Chironda; the Coalition for Unity and Welfare – the head of the party’s Youth Organization Ion Bulgac, the Liberal Party – deputy chairman Ion Purice, the European Social Democratic Party – the former head of Buiucani district Vadim Brînzaniuc, the Party of Socialists – MP Adrian Albu, while the People Power Party – its chairman and former acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu.
