Teachers in general education will undergo evaluation for professional performance every semester, as opposed to quarterly before. The new evaluation rules will take effect on September 1.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the methodology applies to all teachers, school psychologists, psycho-pedagogues, principals of primary schools, middle schools and lyceums and aims to ensure the transparency and fairness of the professional performance evaluation process, based on the results of which salary raises are offered.
The resolution approving the new methodology was signed by Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun.
