The citizens of the Republic of Moldova who introduced units of transport for personal use under temporary admission regime into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, including into the Russian Federation, need to take the vehicles out of this territory until September 30, 2021 or to bring them into free circulation. The announcement was made by Moldova’s Embassy in the Russian Federation by a press release that is quoted by IPN.
According to the information, the non-observance of the time limit for the presence of units of transport brought under temporary importation regime for personal use on the territory of the EEU leads to the imposition of administrative measures and to the payment of customs duties.
The time limit for the stay of motor vehicles imported temporarily into the EEU from other countries by private individuals for personal use was extended until September 30, 2021 by the Decision of the Eurasian Economic Council of April 5, 2021. It is also suspended the 18-month period during which the preferential duty-free import into the Union of personal belongings by foreigners who obtained the reinstatement of the permanent resident status on the territory of the EEU, the status of refugee or forced migrant is possible.
The decision applies to cases that appeared or will yet appear between March 1 and September 30, 2021.
