The executive approved the institution of the Electronic Register of Routes “Transport e-Authorization”. Together with the implementation of the concept, the information about routes included in local, municipal, district, inter-district and intentional road transport schedules will become available in electronic form, IPN reports.
The register will also contain data about the transport operators to which routes were allocated for authorized regular services in national and international traffic.
The move will enable to digitize the interaction between the central and local public authorities and the business community, while for travellers the Register of Routes will become a safe source of information. Together with this, preconditions will be created for implementing the electronic ticket in road passenger transport, said Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spânu, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
Work on the concept will be done in the course of this year and the implementation process is to start next year.
