President Maia Sandu has announced the organization of the National Teachers Forum on October 7 and invited teachers and school managers to discuss education problems together, IPN reports.
“We undertook to enhance the prestige of your profession, to invest in the professional development of teaching staff, to modernize school infrastructure and to make sure that the teachers are financially motivated to choose this hard and responsible profession,” said President Sandu, addressing the teachers.
The National Teachers Forum is to become an annual event, a communication platform for teachers from all over the country.
The October 7 event will start with a questions and answers session that will involve President Maia Sandu and Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun. The special invitee of the forum is Mircea Miclea – author, psychologist, educator, entrepreneur, ex-minister of eduction of Romania, founder of the School of Cognitive Psychology.
Those who want to take part in the Forum need to register beforehand. “We will discuss the opportunities and challenges, the good practices in Moldova and the world and how we can implement them in our schools so that each child in Moldova realizes their potential and talents. I urge you to register and to be a large community united by our passion for education. See you on October 7!” Maia Sandu said in her message.
