The portfolio of the Ministry of Environment will be taken over by PAS MP Sergiu Lazarencu. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, IPN reports.
“I welcome the things started at the Ministry. During the immediate period, it is essential for important environmental projects to be implemented at an accelerated pace,” noted the official.
Sergiu Lazarencu, 38, has a degree in economics. He was deputy mayor of Stauceni commune of Chisinau municipality. In 2021, he entered Parliament and since March 2023 he has also served as secretary of the commission on economy, budget and finance.
