After more than a month of price increases, standard diesel is getting cheaper by 16 bani per liter. Thus, according to the National Agency for Energy Regulation, on Thursday, a liter of standard diesel can be sold at the pump for a maximum of 32.66 lei, reports IPN.
And the price of 95 octane gasoline will be lower. After two reductions – of 2 and 8 cents per liter, announced in the last two days, on August 6, the gasoline will be cheaper by another 19 cents. Thus, a liter will cost at most 30.48 lei.
The drop in prices comes against the backdrop of cheaper oil on international markets. In recent days, oil quotations have dropped to the lowest level in the last three weeks, due to developments in the Middle East.
The Brent crude oil barrel is trading at approximately 80.13 dollars, and the WTI oil barrel at 76.11 dollars, amid hopes for a possible agreement that would allow the resumption of oil transportation through the Strait of Hormuz.
