The Constitutional Court has validated the deputy mandates of Roman Rosca and Victor Matraguna, substitute candidates on the lists of the Action and Solidarity Party. The two will take over the mandates left vacant in Parliament following the resignations of deputies Alexandr Trubca and Victoria Belous, reports IPN.
The proposal for validation was submitted by the Central Electoral Commission. After examining the notifications, the Constitutional Court found that the legal conditions for validating the mandates of the two alternate candidates are met.
Roman Rosca, positioned 72nd on the PAS list for the 2025 parliamentary elections, is a professional lawyer, originally from the left bank of the Dniester. He served in the Police, and in 2022 he became a deputy and led the Special Commission for Reintegration. Subsequently, he was the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration in the Recean Government. He will replace Alexandr Trubca in Parliament.
The next alternate candidate from the PAS lists, Victor Matraguna, will take over the mandate left vacant after the resignation of Victoria Belous, appointed as Minister of Finance. Originally from Orhei, he is a lawyer by profession and holds the position of head of the Orhei Territorial Office of the State Chancellery.
