“We should be glad and proud of having played host to the European Political Community Summit,” President Maia Sandu said, addressing the citizens. She noted that the Republic of Moldova was seen and heard all over the European continent. “It is our merit, of everyone. We will together bring Moldova into the European Union,” Maia Sandu said in her message to the citizens, IPN reports.
The official noted that on June 1 Moldova was the center of Europe. This happened due to hardworking and devoted people. Some of them were seen more, while others were seen less, but they all worked hard to make this event possible.
“All the guests said in unison that the European Political Community Summit in Moldova was a success and this success is due to you, the people of Moldova,” stated Maia Sandu. She thanked the delegations that came to Moldova, the persons involved in the organization of the summit and all those who maintained order and security for the made effort.
“You made so that Europe felt at home here. With you and with people like you, Moldova will become part of the European Union,” said the official.
The third EPC Summit will take place this October in Spain.
