Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, is in Brussels to take part in a meeting of the foreign ministers of the European Union member states on the sidelines of the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council, IPN reports.
According to the MFA, Mihai Popșoi will attend the event at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Luminita Odobescu and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis. The meeting will also involve the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
The agenda of the visit also includes meetings with the European Union Commissioner-designate for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius, the chief of staff for the president-elect of the European Council Pedro Lourtie, the chair of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee David McAllister, the chair of the Subcommittee on Security and Defense Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, heads of the political groups in the European Parliament and with the chair of the EP Delegation for relations with the Republic of Moldova Siegfried Mureșan.
Also, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi will have a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Antonio Tajani.
