Moldovagaz has transmitted the calculated common payment to end users that want to replace the supplier or to terminate the contract for the supply of natural gas, which is designed to ensure an equitable mechanism for recovering the financial deviations. The calculations were done according to the formula stipulated in the May 31 decision of the Commission for Exceptional Situations, IPN reports.
In a press release, Moldovagaz says that in January-May it received 86 requests from non-residential users to replace the supplier or to reduce the supplied volume of natural gas. Out of the total number, 24 are requests to replace the natural gas supplier. 18 end users completed the process of replacing the supplier, with the contract for the supply of natural gas being terminated before May 31. Four end users suspended the process of replacing the supplier, while two end users are in the process of replacing the supplier. The other requests concern the reduction of the volume of gas supplied by Moldovagaz for different reasons.
Moldovagaz noted that it stopped accepting applications from end users concerning the supply of natural gas to one place of consumption based on a number of contracts signed with different natural gas suppliers. The end users that simultaneously purchase gas from the free, non-regulated natural gas market by June 30 need to choose the market on which they will remain.
