For the National Army Day that is marked on September 3, theMinistry of Defenseprepared a series of activities. In Chisinau, there will be mounted exhibitions of photographs, equipment and machinery, demonstrative exercises, children’s contests, recitals of music, military ceremonials and others. The activities will start in “Alunelul” Park at 2pm, IPN reports.
In the same park, the visitors will be able to get acquainted with bomb disposal technicians, military doctors, students and peacekeepers of Special Forces.
In Cahul, activities will be staged by soldiers of the Motorized Infantry Brigade “Dacia” in the Square of Round Dances, starting at 10am. Soldiers of the Motorized Infantry Brigade “Moldova” will present activities in the Independence Square in Balti, starting at noontime.
“Come to learn more about us at the National Army Day in your town. Stand by the country’s military,” urged the Ministry of Defense.
The National Army was created on September 3, 1991 by presidential decree.
