The Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) invites the citizens to a protest in defense of the Constitution and constitutional order. According to an announcement posted on the party’s Facebook page, the protest will be mounted in front of the Constitutional Court on April 26, starting at 8am, IPN reports.
“Dear people, we are going through very tense and important moments for our country. These are not great words, but are a truth. It is a situation when we the politicians, the ordinary people, the good people of this country must defend the Constitution. We must protect this institution, the Constitutional Court,” says the party’s message.
On April 23, a group of people, who included MPs, came together in front of the Constitutional Court to protest against the Parliament’s decisions to revoke the decision by which Domnica Manole was appointed CC judge and to name Boris Lupașco in her place earlier the same day. The entrance to the CC was guarded by police officers. In the evening, the Constitutional Court suspended the two decisions.
